Core Training 2026

Recommended prerequisites: Panel Judging or Image Evaluation.

Core Training is a 10 hour course conducted over 4 evenings.

The course will cover the basic skills and knowledge necessary to further your development in club photography judging.

Topics covered include:

• Composition including art elements, design principles and art concepts.
• Various judging methods.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Giving feedback - including critiques & coaching
• The various scoring systems used in club judging.
• Competition definitions.

The Practical components and homework are designed to further develop judging skills and knowledge.

This course will prepare you for the more advanced Judges Training unit.
