Introduction to Judging 2026

The Panel Judging is a 5-hour course conducted over 2 nights and covers image critique and panel judging.  Panel Judging consists of 2-5 judges evaluating the same images. The course is designed to teach what, why and how to evaluate images.  It consists of topics such as composition, aesthetics and providing feedback.

This is a practical workshop where you will be given homework and participate in panel judging. The Panel Judging course is suitable for club photographers wanting to improve their understanding of image critiquing and those wanting to participate in club panel judging or who would like to begin judging.
